BackupExec 20 – Instalação NFF e Custom

Olá pessoas,

A ideia hoje é falar sobre a instalação do BackupExec 20 da Veritas. Nesse vídeo faço as duas instalações, a tipica onde é o famoso NFF e customizada onde escolhemos as funcionalidades e o servidor de SQL server.

Support for vSphere 6.7 Backup Exec protects vSphere 6.7.
Support for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016 Backup Exec now supports protection of SharePoint Server 2016. Granular restore is limited to farm-level components.
Windows Server, version 1803 and Windows 10, version 1803 Backup Exec now protects Windows Server, version 1803 and Windows 10, version 1803.

– Improved IPv6 support for Backup Exec client-side deduplication, NDMP Option, and RMAL.

Prerequisites
– Administrative privileges are required to install this Feature Pack.
– Backup Exec 20.0.1188.0

Post requisites
– A full backup is recommended after installing this Feature Pack.
– Remote Agent for Windows Servers will need to be updated after installing this Feature Pack.
– Remote Agent for Linux/Unix/Macintosh Servers (RALUS/RAMS) will need to be updated after installing this Feature Pack.
– Update SDR media.

Known issues resolved

– Last 7 days of Backup Jobs” status is not  updated and  error “The query for Last7Days failed” shows in the botton left corner of the BE console screen (100041169)
– After Vmware Agent backups some Virtual Machines, the “Migrate” option is disabled.
– The “Original start time” field in the Job history group report is not displaying the  expected output.
– Exchange backup to tape stays in updating catalog status for long time and may cause remsrv64.exe process to use high memory on the Exchange server. (000127449)
– Size of Sharepoint content Ddatabase shown in restore selections are inaccurate.
– Backup Exec management command line interface “Wait-BEJob” cmdlet returns Lost connection or CommunicaitonException error before job completes. (000109520)
– -4001 A read was issued to a location beyond the EOF (writes will expand the file) (100010683)

Backup Exec integrates with Veritas™ Information Map Backup Exec integrates with Veritas™ Information Map to help organizations gain insight into their data by providing an immersive visual experience of the global information environment for an organization.

Backup Exec can be configured to populate Information Map with metadata of an organization’s unstructured data and identify areas of risk, value, waste and interest.

Veritas Update replaces LiveUpdate LiveUpdate has been replaced with Veritas Update for providing updates to Backup Exec.
Backup Exec now comes with the convenience of Subscription-based Licensing Backup Exec licensing has changed. Backup Exec is now available in three editions: Backup Exec Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each edition includes a specific set of features, and are priced on a per-terabyte basis. A Trial edition is also available, which includes all of the agents and features included with the Gold edition.

Support for SQL Server 2017 Backup Exec now supports backup and restore of SQL Server 2017.
